ABSTRACT

This study investigates the role of Knowledge Management (KM) in integrating corporate sustainability practices in the post-pandemic context. It also examines the current literature on KM and sustainable development and develops a sustainable conceptual model. Based on a survey of contemporary literature and KM and corporate sustainability approach, this study proposes a conceptual framework with KM and corporate sustainability strategy as fundamental constructs to attain organisational excellence (OE) in the post-pandemic era. The research adds conceptual and situational elements such as the interaction between KM and sustainability strategy, creative approaches for developing a structural framework, and the right direction for boosting efficiency. The research is one of the first to present a comprehensive framework for achieving OE in the post-pandemic era. Furthermore, by focussing on COVID-19 and the post-pandemic environment, this research provides a new perspective on KM and corporate sustainability literature. © 2023 World Scientific Publishing Co.

ABSTRACT

Purpose: Working from home (WFH) was one of the major changes that occurred in many organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic. This also led to online training being conducted during this WFH period. The present study investigated the role of technology, manager support and peer support on self-efficacy and job outcomes (i.e. training transfer, work engagement and job satisfaction) of employees while WFH. Design/methodology/approach: The study framework incorporated Bandura's self-efficacy theory. Data were collected from 852 employees in India, and structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data. Findings: The study found positive relationships between ease of technology use, manager support and peer support on self-efficacy and a negative relationship between self-efficacy and technostress. The study also found significant positive relationships between self-efficacy and training transfer, work engagement and job satisfaction. Moreover, the study also identified the moderating effects of WFH and technical issues in the relationships of self-efficacy with training transfer, work engagement and job satisfaction. Originality/value: The study is novel in that it extended self-efficacy theory regarding the WFH context with influencers such as technology, managers and peers as organizational factors. It also demonstrated the effectiveness of remote working and online training considering the potential antecedents while WFH. Moreover, the study highlighted the simultaneous role of technology and people (managers and peers) in enhancing job outcomes by increasing self-efficacy among employees. © 2023, Emerald Publishing Limited.

ABSTRACT

Purpose Knowledge management during the pandemic has been a challenging task due to the sudden intervention of technology in the organisational environment and the unexpected shift to the work-from-home culture. This study aims to investigate the role of technology intervention in the relationship between knowledge diffusion and knowledge application. Design/methodology/approach A cross-sectional study was conducted and data were collected from 541 employees who were working from home during the pandemic in India. Findings This study found significant relationships between knowledge diffusion and technology intervention. This study also observed the mediating role of technology intervention in the relationship between knowledge diffusion and knowledge application. Originality/value Tis study stands with other pioneering studies that have explored the role of technology intervention in the knowledge diffusion-application relationship using the job demand-resource model.

ABSTRACT

The present study investigates the antecedents of organic products usage intention in India. Based on previous research in this area we considered four constructs- environmental concern, health concerns, attitude to buy organic products and intention to buy organic products. We linked two Sustainable Development Goals with the study-SDG 3 and SDG 12.Data were collected from 573 respondents from India. An online survey was conducted using snowball sampling. Sample consisted of 366 males and 207 females. The mean age of the respondents was 39.5(SD 9.75). Structural equation modeling (SEM) methods as implemented in AMOS 24.0. The study found positive relationships between environmental concern and health concern with attitude to buy organic products and intention to buy organic products. The study also found a positive relationship between attitude to buy organic products and intention to buy organic products. Moreover, the established the mediating role of attitude to buy organic products. © The Electrochemical Society
